Ok that isn't like the COMPLETE summary of why I really like Sohm but I think that's like a good way of summing up what they've really meant to me as of late. In terms of why I first started liking them, it was mostly aesthetics ngl? Like,,, eepy sheep with purples and blues how could you go WRONG with that (answer: YOU CANT!!!!!!!) plus just. the wiwi. the fucking. they wear lace pjs chat thats SO cute. Then I just started REALLY fixtating on EVH and trying to dig every last bit of info I could get out of the trailers and horizon talks and social media posts just so I could REALLY mentally chew on that good shit (epic server lore and all) until it actually drops cause yknow fixtations be like that and all!!! And from there, Sohm just ended up being. Really endearing to me in a sense. Plus what they seem to embody, both as a player character, seemingly their OWN character, and also as the probably offical mascot of EVH.

By my own admission It was also my own silly inter-server crossover slop and general HCs/AU writing slop that played a part in my fixtation on Sohm, but I'll talk abt that later lol! Because its like BEYOND THAT there's just something so. Idk cool??? Awesome??? Sweet? I dunno theres just something about how in a sense, Sohm is clearly the hero of Event Horizon. Yknow in the same way that our player character is going to be a hero. They're the everyday lone toon, who wakes up, has to find the strenght to prove that they are alive and escape this false dream (HOLY SHIT ITS JUST LIKE SIDE ORDER YOU GUYS /J) While still being a bit silly with it through the whole thang!! Cause that's what toons are, toons are silly! In the words of the EVH website themselves, Sohm is a "humble little sheep" and I think that really sums them up perfectly!!! Theyre just a silly, sweet little eepy sheep that's ended up in a crazy as hell situation, and through it all they're able to fight back, in a form of resilence, while still being. Them. I don't know its such an interesting hero and kind of a contrast to like the neo resistance IMO? Clearly theyre so much more dynamic and loud which is EPIC. Sohm is pretty laid back, looks chill with it, yet they get srs when needed to lock in, but its not like this changes or scars them. Theyre fighting to stay silly. Theyre fighting to prove that they exist. And that they are alive. And as they are, theyre worth fighting for. Bwahhhh

And yknow thats another reason why I think Sohm has really stuck with me. Namely that it's that whole "keep on holding on" thing. Because Sohm as a character, at least from what we vaguely know, seems like they can be CRAZY tragic. Becuase its like if their home that they want to go back to IS toontown, then uhhhh that's not really gonna happen because it seems like Toontown is fucking GONE, like the TTO servers shutdown happened. but irl. no more Toontown!!!!!!!! :( BUT ITS LIKE even WITH That Sohm seems to still be. Fighting otherwise? Like idk how to put it beyond the fact that even if they did realize that was the case (which. maybe they do? the dreamscape is clearly like. a mess of past memories/SOME weird place im sure Sohm is somewhat aware that Something Just Happened) I doubt they would consider it all for nothing. That one way or another, things will be ok in some other sense. Amazing, even. Thats what it really means to keep on holding on. Especially in the face of- scary fucking business robots IN SPACEEEEEEEE either way it makes me smile. It comforts me so much its unreal. It's like fuck yeah. You go Sohm Rambulist. :3

OK maybe it won't be ALL my hcs since a solid chunk of the situations/hcs I have do mostly pertain to a AU I have in a sense

(in which High Roller TTCC, Riggy Goddamn Motherfucking Marole, and Sohm all embody elements of toonyness (or more accurately whimsy and acceptance and community, its a state not exclusive 2 the toon species its rather all concepts moreso ofc). like how MLP had the elements of harmony in a way. but like HR is Uniqueness, Riggy is Excitement, and Sohm is Resilience. That'll be a whole other can of worms if I bother to unveil that in some way)

BUT I might as well ramble about a handful of my Sohm theories concerning the dreamscape, my HCs pertaining to them, and uhh idk possible ideas???? I'm kind of walking a thin line here since stuff like what the dreamscape is or Sohm's family could be revealed in EVH and literally EVERYTHING Could be changed but its like through sheer autism power I've cooked up a buncha shit on my own lmfao. Lets start off WITHHHH THE THEORIES!!!

THEORIES

Now I will open this with saying that these are a mix between AU and theory, and its stuff me and my friends have come up with. It's all pretty neat stuff imo, some of it I do like joking about all things considered, or legit thinking about it, it varies and im mostly putting this here becuase I LIKE MAKING LISTS RAHHHH. In no exact order btw!

• The dreamscape is actually the afterlife in a sense (a lot of the wording seems to back this up in a sense, "the past life of a toon" comes to mind), and the Astrobots (or cogs in general who knows!!!) killed Sohm....... somehow. might've been in a uhhh field office or something!! But instead of going to the proper toon afterlife all the toons were trapped in this fucking false universe or whatnot this purgatory of sorts and as such toons, including Sohm, find the strength to go "nuh uh" and just. not die LOL
• Sohm gets killed (WHAT!!!!) and she gets like. Turned into the Change Agent. I'd be more fitting if it was a Specialist instead of a Generalist I suppose but as of me writing this I dunno shit about the other Specialists so my friend group just settled on it being the Change Agent because like. ourple. and space. and the idea of wearing a mask. its like fnaf or something. I think in conjuncture with this idea there was like. my friends and I were like yo what if they sheared her and the change agent sweater was made out of their wool. fucked up huh. and like YEAH. SURE IS /SILLY
• Ok this one is somewhat more tied to my general idea of what I think HAPPENED to toontown as a whole or something so yeah. I feel like the og toontown existed in some way, and Sohm was a dreamland toon. Alongside like their entire family and all. I think I also had the idea that possibly their family specalized in providing a lot of like toon up gags. like they harvested and grew them or whatnot (the feathers and pixie dust come to mind,, plus yknow ourple) and life was good but then astrobots happened and either took over toontown and turned it into a coggy hell or straight up DESTROYED it like holy fucking shit if they really did do that WOW. and the toons were thrown into some kinda dream statis in a false paradise for the sake of staying out of the way of the other cogs and whatnot.

HEADCANNONS

this is moreso just random stuff/ideas i have pertaining to the eeper sheep that i think would be very awesome and swagalicious. i guess its mostly just random cutsey stuff really

• Her favorite tracks are TU, Throw, And Squirt. Squirt being the one theyre most partial to in general. I feel like in relation to this, they like using the items IN the squirt track (yknow in the EVH cannon, which seems to involve things like watering cans and bubble wands) in everyday life. esp the bubble wand they just really like blowing bubbles bc its prettyyyyy and she can just chill while doing it ehehehe
• She has a handful of like. personal recipe cards/trademark recipes methinks, mostly for stuff like comfort food and drinks. yknow the kind where you eat it and then youre like wow!!! i wanna take a big ass nap. The one they're the most proud of is for hot chocolate, it involves a lot of spices like cinnamon (like you heat it up WITH the milk and stuff. its really yummy tbh.)
• Their HC voice for me is either marina splatoon or rosalina lawl (honoary mention is me assoicating her with bee from bee and puppycat but SOLELY because of this scene)
• I feel like if they ever like played a game or something their fave game would probs be space channel 5
• I dont really see Sohm AS like a very active or hardcore or whatever resistance ranger, but still very well known throughout dreamland through going to local events/their parents hosting like. events akin to things like the kinda stuff you'd find at farmers markets, if that makes sense. even if sohm isnt a super active partcipant due to how eepy they constantly are, she likes to just relax and watch the more active toons run around and have fun.... drowsy dreamland probs has more pillow hills so they esp love relaxing on those
• their favorite plant + scent is lavender. (in my theories where sohm dies, their body would be burried with a boquet of lavender plants)
• their entire closet consistants of pjs. like every kind of pajama imaginable. usually within the same blue-purple-yellow color pallet assortment
